The Returner
I’m far from perfect. Even if I have my doubts from day to day taken the current mood to consideration; I like to think of myself as at least some skilled when it comes to social interaction. Normally I also manage quite well, mostly, to get in touch with people, and people that I know from before, friends, study buddies, friends of friends etc; I’m fairly easy going.
But today, that theory fell crushing towards the pavement as I walked off guard back home. Not to sound like a man of mysteries or a refuge, but there’s some parts of the past I’m less proud of. That I wish never happened or at least I could leave some situations for the parts of the memory that are least in use (like the part that makes you remember the ESC in Birmingham etc). Anyway; walking back home Friday afternoon with two guys from the Uni I of one or another strange reason turn my head around and out of nowhere a person I used to have some contact with, but which I hasn’t spoken to in nearly two and a half year, shows up just a few feet behind me. I haven’t been that bleedin’ shaken ever after moving here three years ago. Because this person where talking in his/her phone and where walking down a crossing street I manage to dodge any visual contact.
With the heart threatening to strangulate me we ended up in one of the southern parts of town, some 10 minutes walk from the point of “a bit too close contact”. Because the two other where suppose to walk a bit different then me to get home a joined them for some minutes on an additional bend on my rout back. Then, just to celebrate the fact that this was my last day at the Uni for this term, I dropped by a marked. I just had to buy some cupcakes. Standing in the queue I was re-experiencing parts from the upper secondary. Even the voice was back and this person seemed to haven’t changed to much either, so suddenly some parts of me where back in time and some unwanted feelings returned. Sometimes I get this feeling that; if you wish a thing more than anything, it will never happen, but if you really wish things not to happen, be sure they will. ‘Cause once more, out of nowhere this person comes walking just a meter in front of me. Fearing that he/she on a stage or another should watch back I saw that I couldn’t keep those meters behind, so, without to think too much I withdraws in a second and walks a extra round around the block. After that I took an alternative rout around the highway and avoided another “confrontation”.
I’m not proud of this, honestly I’m sad. Utter mournful. It’s hard since this is a person I was (and still are) found of. And that I avoided any contact is more a personal thing; a really don’t know where to continue after this years and happenings. It's frightfully hard to explain this.

Vanskelig lesning.
… anyone who remained in the sector and inside Gaza City was in effectcondemned, a terrorist, because they hadn’t fled.
We need to murder any person who's in there. Yeah, any personwho's in Gaza is a terrorist,'
Have you ever wondered what hell looks like? Well ... look
around you bitch! Ha Ha Ha”.
Israel announced that the purpose of its offensive was to destroy the“infrastructure of terrorism”. However, little attempt was made to bomb Hamasstrongholds in the aerial bombing or the land offensive. Instead decidedly “nonterrorist”,non-Hamas targets were attacked such as the
American School andother schools, United Nations premises, hospitals, mosques, factories, businesses, neighbourhoods not generally sympathetic to Hamas and cultural institutions.

Norway's Thatcher
Today the Conservatives launched their the national convent in Oslo, and the Conservatives is continuing to do the only thing they know; speaking, talking and converse within. And, of course, be angry. Conservatives are always angry; well dressed and angry. In other words: all silent at the Right Wing and no needs for wasting time. At the far right however, the Progress Party are on the move. More precisely, their Leadership is moving towards the Tories and Westminster.
Under the headline “A Norwegian Thatcher” ms Jensen speaks warmly and enthusiastic about the reign of Maggie Thatcher, the deeds of Sarah Palin and French president Nikolas Sarkozy. Not to mention her view of Israel, and quoting “It is a country that respects human rights, respects all the things that we place very highly here”. Of course, the so called western (democratic) values is that it’s utter legitimate to reject elections results as long wrong party wins, internment without trial of civilians and parliamentarians, expelling and seizure of land and property. Guess such values are those belonging to a “classic liberal party”, as she states that they are. At least pretending to be.
Interestingly Jensen suddenly shows interest in women in Afghanistan, and even of one or another bizarre reason that Thatcher actually was a great feminist, and that British women got a better life during her 11 years as Prime Minister. Well, I don’t know not too much about internal British social policy during the 80s beyond what took place up in the North Eastern parts of Ireland; but let’s just use a learning from the global scene: when welfare get privatized the women is the first to feel the disadvantages (wage cuts, part time jobs, health care efficiency (more for less) and the jolly fight for survival between family “duties” and working life “duties”). And by the way, in her world the man to blame for the finance crisis is Bill Clinton. Sure, if she says so.
Bruce Bawer, the man behind the article, in STANDPOINT, after claiming Attac and Klassekampen as Communist institutions, states that “If she wins power, she may yet provide a model of gutsy liberalism and immigration common sense for all of Europe”. Siv Jensen as a saviour. Who had belived that some years ago? But, is it anything to belive in at all? A "saviour" who argues for Israeli killing of Palestinians in the same way Ian Paisley argued that no killed Catholics where innocent. A "saviour" who blames the media for their misstakes, a "saviour" who's largest enemy comes from within, from a minority within the minority, the immigrants. A "saviour" which rather interrupt in the local democracy rather than show will of co-operation and withdraw from taking unpopular decitions. A true Thatcher.
If Jensen is the new Thatcher, I’m truly a Irish Republican. So hands of the Phoenix (In the article the rise of the Progress Party are compared with the rising Phoenix). And sooner or later the Norwegian Thatcher will find a Norwegian Brighton.

Robert Gerard (Bobby) Sands MP 9.3.1954 - 5.5.1981

In memory of a man who payed the ultimate price for his visions, his dreams and canonized the single most dramatic event of the Troubles after Bloody Sunday. A man, which policy made the end justifying the means in the same way his executers justified their cruelty against an entire nation. He was perhaps a IRA commander, but, at his time of death, he was elected Member of Parliament for Fermanagh & South Tyrone, perhaps one of few ever elected to Westminster to really scarify everything for the cause of his land. In every case, despite the fact he wasn’t God’s best child on this Earth, he wasn’t more a terrorist than just another freedom fighter. A product of his time and place and origin. A man who made republicanism possible, gave boost to the national struggle for those suppressed, showed that life and equality and the longing for it is a case beyond the limits of man, or woman; that the cause and the greater good is something worth dying for. A Rebel life is temporary; a hero’s death is eternal. Those 100.000 following you to the grave knows.

Collins returned in Safety
Mr. Collins also appreciated Ronan Keating’s efforts in bringing Denmark to the top position in the EuroSong final in Moscow later this month, as he after a short report concerning Finance Minister Brian Lenihan’s budget for 2009 faced the fact that neither Ireland nor RTE may afford holding two semi-finals and a final. Big Brother didn’t comment Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s interference in the British contribution.
