Rebelion in the Labour Press.

Finally the local labour press do surprise me in a positive manner. I have, honestly, for quite a wile been disillusioned by their “local” appeal, in that sense that their way to narrow sighted for us who want to read about news not concerning drunken teenagers, lost cats, occasional riots and cars which speed greatly outnumbered the limits put in sharp bends by the highway authority, whit the following accidents and close encounter with the surrounding geography that would imply.

Today, Oppland Arbeiderblad, had dedicated 2 of their colour pages to the Easter Rising. The article starts with the following words: “Easter Monday in Dublin. Suddenly a grip of armed men comes marching”. That never fails to trigger a rebel heart. Even taken to consideration that it was written by a author that had “worked at the University of Agder for several years” even if it was established in September 2007, but as he had rather extensive knowledge of the subject, and also a kind of humour. (ex. A Garrison Commander who can’t be located at the morning after a day off) It is hope for the rural papers!
